Priority : Recognize Campus Saint-Jean as the only French-language post-secondary institution in Alberta, and its role in developing a bilingual workforce, and provide equivalent funding.
Alberta is facing a significant shortage of qualified Francophone workers, including education professionals. Campus Saint-Jean is the only francophone post-secondary institution in Alberta that trains a bilingual workforce. Despite the growing need for this workforce, Campus Saint-Jean has faced chronic operational and capital underfunding for years, which affects its ability to offer programs completely in French. Campus Saint-Jean only receives provincial funding for a portion of its full-time students, not all.
