Priority: Increase the supply of child care services by and for Francophones in regions that are underserved in relation to demand.
Early childhood education spaces are essential to ensure the transmission of the Francophone language and cultures to future generations from an early age to avoid assimilation. Current Francophone child care services are not sufficient to meet the demand. Many areas across the province are under-serviced compared to the English-speaking majority, particularly in Edmonton and Calgary and their surrounding cities.
